The Washer Flat 5.3 ID 10.0 OD 1.0 Thick SST Type 316 is a washer which is a thin plate with a hole that is normally used to distribute the load of a threaded fastener, such as a bolt or nut. It used to displace the load of a fastener head or nut on a thread joint. They also act as spacers. This part is specially used in anesthesia machines for fastening the parts together. It is used to protect the surface from damage by offering space between the surface and fastener. The washer is made up of type 316 stainless steel which has excellent resistance to chemicals and salt water. This may act as a mild magnetic washer also prevents the fasteners from corrosion. It has a good surface finish, so that it can get some friction from the surface it is getting fastened to.
